The Nicholson is the oldest building in town, and has been converted into an elegant rental space for weddings, parties, and other social functions. Constructed in the 1830s, it is considered one of the premiere examples of New England architecture in the area, with multiple period-decorated Parlor Rooms, an old-fashioned kitchen, and an elegant outdoor porch. It lies in the downtown area, on the southern end of Lakewood Park.
